Blackberry’s Future Is Really Android Says Blackberry Senior Director

Blackberry, over the past few years, has had it’s ups and downs. While the company’s BB10 OS has been helping in some specific ways, PRIV broke the doors to the Android ecosystem for Blackberry.
Earlier before now, the company had tried adopting android apps on the BB10 platform which didn’t actually make much difference as expected. The Blackberry Priv, Blackberry’s first android smartphone, gave the brand an upliftment in terms of revenue report and BlackBerry is choosing to stick with android going forward.

BlackBerry CEO, John Chen, earlier this month, mentioned that Blackberry 10.3 OS would be receiving security and privacy enhancements in 2016. No BB10 hardware will likely be introduced this year.
John Chen also said that another blackberry device running android OS will be launched this year being 2016 and if previous leak is anything to go by, we might just be looking forward to the Vienna.

“The Priv device is essentially our transition to Android ecosystem. As we secure Android, over a period of time, we would not have two platforms, and may have only Android as a platform [for smartphones]. But for now, we have BB10 and Android platforms for our smartphones…The future is really Android. We went for Android essentially for its app ecosystem. In addition, all the enterprise solutions that we have been doing have been cross-platform for a long time now. So it’s a natural progression towards Android”-Damian Tay, senior director of APAC product management, BlackBerry.

Blackberry OS 10.3.3 will be rolled over in the next couple of months and according to John Chen, the update will make the OS more secure for business and government use. The soon-to-be released 10.3.3 update will allow BB10 to be NIAP certified meaning the platform will pass the strictest government-grade security years. BB OS 10.3.4 will also be rolled over this year with even more security updates. So basically, BB10 users should be expecting more of OS updates this year.

=> First, save the contact +918148911230 on your phone with the name “Wikipedia” (without quotes)
==> Launch your WhatsApp application and choose to create a new group.
==> On the create new group page, add the earlier saved Wikipedia contact as the only participate in the group and choose to create.
==> Now, on the newly created Wikipedia group, simply type Wiki before the search word and results will be presented to you immediately (as seen in the screenshot above).
It’s that simple. Go ahead and give it a shot. Remember to type “Wiki” (without quotes) before the search keyword. For example, Wiki Samuel Adeniyi.

Facebook Live Streaming Is Coming To iPhone Users Soon

Facebook live streaming just like YouTube live streaming, is self explanatory. The whole concept is about making a live video of what’s happening so that your friends can watch and likely join the interaction.
While this feature has been in the works for quite some time now (it was originally available to some selected celebrities in the US), it is now available to all iPhone users in the U.S. Android users would have to wait a little longer before the feature would be introduced on the platform.
Thankfully, iPhone users in some other part of the world won’t have to wait too long in other to have a taste as Facebook says it will be available in the next couple of weeks.

In other for users to use the live streaming feature on Facebook, users would first have to update their status and thereafter, touch the ‘Live Video’ icon. The status in this case could be giving your friends an idea of what the video is actually about. While live streaming is ongoing, friends can comment and this will be shown on the video as well as number of people currently watching the live streaming video.
Unlike periscope which only leaves live screaming videos for 24hours, Facebook live streaming videos can spend forever except the initiator decides to take it off. More so, live streamed videos are stored in the timeline as other activities the user shares.
Just as YouTube subscribe feature, Facebook users can subscribe to their friends, public figures, verified pages live streaming updates and will be notified when next a live stream is initiated. We will certainly be looking forward to this feature as well as the introduction of the addition emojis joining the like emoji on FB soon.

SwiftKey Update Brings All Android 6.0 Marshmallow Emoji To The Table

One of the most famous android third party keyboard app, SwiftKey, now has a new update and this time, the app is bringing android 6.0 marshmallow emojis to the table. It would be recalled that Google launched has launched android 6.0.1 update which introduced quite a number of new emojis.
While the 184 unicode emoji has been on Swiftkey for a while now for basically it’s beta testers, the update makes the emojis available to all Swiftkey users running the app on their android phones.

Android phones running marshmallow flavor are not the only phones qualified to have the emojis enabled, virtually all sophisticated android phones can utilize the new emojis and more so, the initial available 48 emojis have been refreshed to look much better.

Mtn users can now update and register their sim using their bvn

The need on registering your SIM has become mandatory. We have heard reports of some users having their SIMs barred simply because they didn’t register the SIM.
For those who intend to register their SIM (s) at some busy centers, you would agree with me that the kind of queue could be a huge turn-off. Well, MTN has decided to make the process much easier as you can now update your SIM registration details from your phone using your BVN (Bank Verification Number).

Based on the screenshot above, all you need do is text BVN, BVN Number, Mother’s Maiden Name (Without the commas of course) to 799. This should save you a whole lot of stress i believe.

Mountain Of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Now Has An Android App

Based on the fact that technology is advancing and in terms of mobile devices, mobile applications are making the waves.
Apps are no doubt, one of the quickest ways to make sure users, fans and followers can easily follow up on updates in regards what the organization / service offers.

Netflix App For Windows Phone Gets Update Fixing These Bugs

Netflix was recently launched in Nigeria including over 130 countries and while we have seen data plans from our telecommunication companies offering affordable packages suitable for the screening service, the mobile app just received an update.
Netflix application is available on Android, iOS and windows phone and interestingly, the windows phone version has received an update taking the app version to 4.7.0.38.

Earlier before now, some windows phone users have complained of the fact that they cannot log into their account after installing the Netflix app. Some others complained that a feature on the app automatically plays the next episode while still watching a Television Series.
