Flashback – See Photos Of What 5MB Hard Disk Looked Like In 1956

It’s really interesting how the world is revolutionizing as well as Technology. If you ever wondered what an hard disk drive looked like in the middle 90s, the pictures below should give you an idea.
Below is a picture of a 5MB Hard Disk drive been shipped out by IBM in 1956. Imagine how many men it took in other to load in the 5 MB hard disk.

In September 1956, IBM launched the 305 RAMAC, which was the world’s first ‘SUPER’ computer with a hard disk drive (HDD). The HDD weighed over a ton and stored just 5 MB of data.

Even though we are currently in 2015, check out how this huge 5MB hard disk can be presented in 2011 with as much storage space of 256GB.
